Advanced 3D CBCT Imaging, Coming December 2026
Ocean View Migraine and Chiropractic Center is bringing advanced 3D Cone Beam CT (CBCT) imaging to our Ocean View, DE office this December.
CBCT gives Dr. DePollar a detailed, three-dimensional view of the upper neck, so your Atlas Orthogonal care can be planned with even greater precision.
What Is CBCT Imaging?
CBCT is a specialized imaging technology that captures a series of images in a single quick scan and combines them into a 3D model.
Traditional X-rays show the spine in flat, two-dimensional views. CBCT allows your doctor to see the exact position and angles of the atlas and surrounding structures from every direction.
Why It Matters for Atlas Orthogonal Care
The Atlas Orthogonal Technique depends on precise measurements of how the atlas has shifted out of position. With 3D imaging, Dr. DePollar can:
- Measure atlas misalignment in three dimensions
- Calculate each adjustment with greater accuracy
More precise information means care that is tailored even more closely to you.
What to Expect
The scan is quick and comfortable. You simply sit still for a few seconds while the machine rotates around your head and neck.
At our office, CBCT will be used in place of traditional X-rays, so new patients will be able to have their imaging done right here in Ocean View.
